Nice solid fleet, although lacking a bit in surface power. Still, you always give up something at 100 points, and the subs should more than make up for the lack of a surface fleet.

I played the exact same fleet for a while, but I decided that the Galster wasn't contributing anything. So I switched to this:
Admiral Hipper (16)
U66 x 2 (24)
U510 x 2 (22)
Graf Zeppelin (18)
BF109 x 2 (14)
Fw 200 Kondor (6)

If you can keep the Kondor alive, it really multiplies the subs' power. it can also use ASM to cripple or vital an enemy destroyer on the first turn. I think that at least one kondor is a must for any U-Boat build.

I've been very successful with the Lieutenant's build. It all depends on how your subs do....if you can get those torp rolls in, you're golden.

Yeah, with Kondor support and "Wolfpack", U-Boats are twice as good as any other sub in the game at range 2; and they cost less than other subs with 2 torps at range 2.
I'm looking forward to the release of the Prinz Eugen. If it costs 14-18, I may swap the Admiral Hipper with it and upgrade/downgrade some subs to U66/U510. It will be worth it if the Prinz Eugen has a Flag bonus or any kind of synergy with subs or fighters.

You would definately win aircraft placement, but if those mediocore British planes spend all of their time hunting subs (killing 4 subs takes a while; each 3 ASW attack only has a 33% chance to damage a sub) or are unable to break through the Germans' 8,8,7,7 AA defense, the British surface fleet will find itself outgunned by Hipper (ER4) and GZ. Saumarez would also be the prime target for Hipper (Raider SA) and the Kondor's ASM.
I think this British fleet would be a better counter (Perhaps my favorite set III build so far  ):
1x HMS Jamaica (15)
1x HMS Belfast (14)
1x HMS Javelin (9)
7x HMS Saumarez (56)
1x Marlet
Against this German fleet, it will almost always win initiative, it has superior surface firepower, and it probably has too many of the best ASW destroyers in the game for the Germans to handle.

Now that I've seen the Prinz Eugen, I think I'll stick with the Admiral Hipper.
