Flames of war vietnamFor about 2 years I have heard that they will be releasing a new game in a historical time period.
I was wishing for Napoleonic era ships. Lot of people were guessing that, Nappie armies (which seems to be an already crowded market) or WWII naval.
Will not be getting into this, not really my time period, but I do love that chopper. Think I will just buy that because I love helicopters.

They gonna have A-6 Intruders or B-52s eventually? An FoW or better yet 'Nam AAM (new game, obviously) "Flight of the Intruder" scenario would be cool...

Well this gets their foot in the door for a modern era ruleset. I would have preferred something in the Arab-Israeli Wars such as Battle of Chinese Farm during the Yom Kippur/ October War 0f 1973.
But since it is being published in Wargames Illustrated I can understand why they chose Ia Drang. One it won't require a massive amount of figures as would Chinese Farm. Two they won't have to come up with rules for Anti-Tank and Surface to Air Missiles. These two modern innovations throw the monkey wrench into most rulesets. Finally the Arab-Israeli Wars are still a very sensitive political subject. Probably even more so than Battlefront's online Warsaw Rising campaign. Still in all here's to hoping we'll see more from Battlefront including Arab-Israeli stuff. Salut y'all!
