Flame thrower disrupt or destroy?Hello,
Someone had some AAM basic sets sent over so a few of us have been playing some simple 100 pt games mostly US vs. German.
Had this situation come up.
Attempted to move my panzer away from his flame thrower during assault to avoid another unti moving in for close assault. He rolled 3 sixes, not enough to hit, but due to special card rule of 3 sixes kills he insisted the tank dies.
I have always played that defensive fire can only disrupt no matter how many hits. His take was card trumps rules.
Any thoughts?
For that matter what effect should a flame thrower really have on armor?
Thanks for your help.

I'm guessing it would cook them inside like an oven. Plus the eye slits and gun slits wouldn't stop the the flame from getting in, just a guess though.

I'm pretty sure that the unit would be destroyed.

Thanks, I wasn't sure about that either. I thought you had to roll enough to disrupt and if that roll had three 6s then you got to torch it.

Thanks guys for the clarification....just suck losing a 49 pt unit to a 5 pt unit on 3 luck sixes. Stay away from those flame throwers.
