Yeah. that one's been known about for a while. It doesn't make much of a difference, because they die easily either way. Even with 80 points being the new attacking fleet value, I still have never managed to successfully get a convoy across.

I'm surprised they they didn't include it in the clarifications PDF. You're right though that either way it won't make much of a difference for the ships.

Convoys are tough, I have only pulled one full victory out of about 12 games played... and a couple of very close run near-draws.
Anyone out there winning more then loosing?

The only convoy game that I have seen get remarkably close was with Nordmarks. Even then I had to get a Betty through on the last turn possible and needed boxcars, hehe that's what I got!!!

It seems that the Convoy Game is a difficult one to win. But in reality, although the convoy is pulverized, the loss in Axis units will quickly make them run out of forces. Historically, the Axis rarely used their surface ships against a well escorted convoy. Also, I like the idea of using Nordmarks to make for tougher freighters.
I wonder, if one of the Card Makers could make a stronger freighter, maybe an allied version of the Nordmark, without the repair ability. Would deleting the repair ability lower the cost of the Nordmark?
