Club Frozen Seas: FNP/ExD Soviet Feedback

Greetings!

Since the Soviets are an active and substantial part of your club, I thought I would solicit some feedback.  I have been championing the expansion of the Red Banner Fleet in the ForuMini Navies Project, Repaint Reference, and Expanded Deck for some time.  However, I am planning to move on to other nations.  Before I do though, I wanted to ask--from those of you who make use of the cards--if there are still any units missing from your fleets which you feel would add substantially to fleet design and game play.

I'd love to hear your thoughts about what, if any, yet unmade units could serve the Soviet Fleet, and how you think they might augment or influence Soviet game play.

Спасибо!

WHH,

Really appreciate it.  Let me do a little research and get back to you... I haven't tackled the FN cards yet for our "theater roster".

I know I've seen some drawings for conjectural carriers that would be nice... one of the standard anti-Soviet tactics nowadays is to calculate how much the land base can hold and then, use a carrier to exceed it, knowing they have no carrier to use.  Rolling Eyes

Groovy.  Well, I won't dive too deeply into my follow up projects just yet.  So, take your time and let me know.

In the meanwhile, this may not cure the Land-Base Calculation tactics, but could throw a hammer and sickle into such a play...

I'm familiar with the ship; awesome!

Proud as I've been to bear the Red standard into battle, I have not really ventured into the FN decks for them just yet.

Opening up the FN decks can be a double-edged conundrum, but I am very intrigued by the battlecruiser I saw being championed.  Just haven't had an opportunity to approach it yet.

Hi WHH,

What about Project 69, the Kronshtadt battlecruiser?

Also perhaps Project 71, a planned small carrier?

Project 69 has a proposal in the Expanded Deck, but I haven't actively sponsored it because I fully expect that we will see an official WotC version sooner or later.  I'll take a look at it again though; iirc, the proposal is all but completed.

Projects 71 and 72 are definitely on my to-do list.  I'll revisit them as well.

Please let me know if anything else lands on your want list Very Happy

thankyou good sir!  Those units would be welcome in our meager soviet arsenal.

I'm not in the Expanded Deck as often as I am in the other Custom Card forums, so you guys may want to keep an eye on it and bump the thread with "Ready for Card" requests every once in a while.  Card production isn't usually quite as speedy in the Expanded Deck, but as long as someone is looking after the thread, Project 69 ought to see a card soon.
