Building an US or UK army against King Tiger

Kay I am new to the forum and a total newb in this game. You may find that it is very stupid for me to ask this, but is there a cost effective way to deal with the German army using US/ UK build?

I usually played with housemates using the pieces I owned. I am not a fan of the Reich but I am blessed to open a King Tiger and a SS Panther in boosters.  As a result, the German army wins all the time, I really wonder what I should get in order to balance the odds a bit. Here is what I got for the western allies.

US
Sherman M4A1 X3
M1 Garand X2
Bazooka X3
Thompson Gunner X1
M5 Halftrack X1
6 Pounder Antitank gun X1

UK
Valentine X1
Cromwell IV X1
SMLE No4 X1
Vickers MG X2

Is the situation really hopeless against the King Tiger or just that I don't know how to use them well? And if it's really hopeless, what unit should I get to balance things out? A Centurion, Pershing...? I can think of plenty that germans and soviets have to counter that king tiger but with the western allies, I really can't think of much...especially since aircraft are so weak in this game.
Sharpe

3x Sherman
1x Cromwell
3x Bazooka
1x SMLE

should work.  Be patient until your bazookas are in position and try to create mismatches with the tanks.  Lots of new players get into firefights on turn one and get shot to pieces.  Try to avoid combat until turn 4 or later and hit him all at once at short range with everything.

I agree. These tanks should be able to swarm the KT and kill it with close rear shots. If he won't show his tail, deal with his support and win on points.

LOL...I think everyone had the same idea here...Sherman swarm...ususally 5 Shermans but in your case as Sharpe pointed out that is your best option...move nder cover if possible, surround the tiger then hit him all at once...

BTW  Welcome to the forum...if you have any question feel free to post a thread or pm a mod anytime Wink

Hi ; My buddy like's to play germany . He always buys the Jagdpanther . Nice & cheap , strong armour , good speed & gun . What I do is buy a Sherman swarm (3-4) , sometimes with a commander . ALWAYS blow him up by turn 3 at the latest . He'll blow up most or all of my armour , but I'll of taken out all of his .
Another option I tried last week was 4 Cromwell IV & Sherm Commdander . Wiped out his Jagdpanther in the 1st turn . This tactic should work against the King Tigger . Almost forgot buy an ammo dump if possible .
Grants Grunts

Me again . I forgot to mention you have to rush him taking advantage of road bonus and terrain blocking LOS .

The Jagdpanther, that's another piece I have that is creating so much problem for my allied counterparts. I am really thinking of stop buying boosters since almost everything I get are like German units.

Thanks a lot for the advices, everyone. Now that I think of it, I usually blitz my tanks out of LOS onto enemy formations whenever i see i can hit them in the rear when the infantries aren't even in position yet. I guess I will hit them with tanks and infantries together next time I played.

For the Sherman commander, I really was thinking of getting one , since it does have a neat ability but it cost so much more than a regular Sherman. Since I don't want to spent too much...I was wondering what will be better a Centurion, Pershing, or a Sherman Commander?

PS: I hope I am asking  in the right forum. If not, just tell me to get lost.
Sharpe

We don't tell that many people to get lost.  With a few exceptions, we're pretty polite.

Ask whatever you want.  We're glad to help.

Centurions are hard to get now. Check the Marketplace section for one. I would recommend both the Sherman Commander and the Pershing. They are very good units.

The Sherman Commander is the best tank commander in the game. It's got one good SA and everyone can use it. The Pershing is a fine tank. It's a good counter to Tigers.

As for the JagdPanther, I love that piece. I almost always take the SS version and cover its flanks with Pz IIIs. It makes for a tough combo and the JP can run had hide when it gets disrupted. Short of that the Pz IIIs cover it with smoke while the gunner shakes out the cobwebs from his addled brain.

Sounds pretty intresting, I should try that out. Thanks for the suggestions.
