Bringing Tone and Chikuma to battle

This was a question I thought of after I played a game last night.  If you bring two Tone's to battle (hence the Chikuma), do the effects stack?  I know normally they don't, but since I brought two of them to the fight, I counted them as each one picks the same target and adds +2 to each attack.  Throw in an Emily and b/w two turns, I destroyed a Saratoga.  Of course he brought Atlantas to the fight, but did not leave them with Sara.  (Just in case there is some questions, he deployed them sort of to escort two Baltimores trying to cross the map to take my objective.  We agreed upon an air heavy battle and I use my objective layout [one behind each side].  Judys and Vals nuked his carrier and it all went downhill from there.)

They don't stack.

Reference p. 33 of Advanced Rules below.  Same effect - since its the same SA, you can't add them together.

Special Abilities of the Same Name Don’t Add Together: A unit can only benefit once from a specific special ability. For example, if you have two Carriers in your fleet that both provide an Expert Dogfighter bonus to a Fighter’s Antiair attack, the Fighter can only benefit from one of those Expert Dogfighter bonuses—they don’t stack together.

but them expert dogfighter or expert ASWs could be applied to separate aircraft?

If you have two Expert Dogfighter special abilities on different carriers, you can assign them to two different planes, but you cannot assign them both to the same plane.
