A B-fiter has multiple options-

During the air defense phase can it make an air defense roll, an then in the air attack phase use it's torpedoes?

My understanding was (See the previous post about air phases) was that if the B-fiter made an air defense roll, it cannot attack in the next phase.

Please clarify...

Your understanding is correct. Somewhere on Gleemax there's an official clarification for this. Maybe Swarbs has it listed in his clarifications.

I'm not sure that I've got a link to it or not, but it was clarified that an aircraft can make only one attack per turn.
