Anyone play "Check Your Six"

I've heard a lot of good things about these WWII air combat miniature rules. If anyone does play them how do they work and how is the gameplay? Thanks and Salut y'all!

I have the rules, but I have never been able to figure out how to play.  It's possible that it's just too hard to play solitaire, and that's my problem.
