a different "special units" question...........?Does a special unit being in a platoon ALWAYS negate it being classified as a "special unit"... I ask because of the Soviet Partisans platoon, which features 3x Communist Partisans, and they keep their ability to be placed anywhere on the edge of the map. I know the paratrooper platoons all lose their paradrops, so they don't count anymore, but are they still limited to 2 per 100 points if they can do their special placement? Also, there's a Fanatical Sniper in the same platoon that may be placed in any hex on the outside of the map, so does it now count as a special unit?

IIRC, any unit in a platoon doesn't count. I'm pretty sure that this question is in the Q&A on the gleemax boards, if you want to check there.
