A&AM: Red Alert (for all the Command & Conquer fansThinking about running this at Enfilade, if anyone shows up.
A&AM: Red Alert
First obvious change: "Axis" is replaced with "Warsaw Pact", and both sides have access to German units.
National realignments:
Allies
USA
UK
Canada
France
Germany
Italy
Japan
Warsaw Pact
Soviet Union
Hungary
Romania
Germany
Poland
China
"Special Heroes" are limited to one per side and one "Special" per player, and are a blend of Historical and "C&C-'verse" personalities.
Allies
General George Patton
->Miniature: NA Sherman Commander
->Stat changes: TBD
Tanya Adams
->Miniature: ???
->Stats: not quite "Chuck Norris", but headed in that direction--in Red Alert, Tanya was a one- or two-shot killer with her .45s
Warsaw Pact
General Georgi Zhukov
->Miniature: T34/76 Commander
->Stat changes: TBD
"Boris"
->Miniature: ???
->Stats: similar to Tanya, but with a "Call in Airstrike" SA rather than Tanya's explosives--in RA2, Boris packs an AK47
Objectives:
Allies: Survive until Turn 10, holding at least 50% of the map and inflicting as much attrition on Soviet forces as possible. All "Special Heroes" must survive.
Soviets: Take 75% of the map before Turn 10. All "Special Heroes" must survive.
This could be used as the basis for a campaign, with surviving units gaining veterancy between games, but the "core scenario" I'm envisioning is a "hold the line"--the Soviets get a small quantity of reinforcements every turn, and the Allies have to hold until say Turn 4 or 5 of a 10-turn game, and then get a huge drop of reinforcements.
Anybody have any thoughts here? Questions, comments, suggestions, flames, ideas?
