National Club League Championship Tournament

The National Club League Championship Tournament is an annual event meant to give the National Clubs (single nation) an opportunity to compete against each other to determine who is the Top Dog of the National Clubs.

Starting a Club Match:

Nation Club League Championship (NCLC) matches can be played at any time throughout the NCLC season. To compete in a NCLC Match, one must first be a registered member of the Club they wish to represent.  Then they may start a thread in the online matches’ sub-forum stating his or her intentions of playing a Club Match.  All matches must be against other National Club Members in order to score points for your club. NCLC matches should follow the rules in the Advanced Rule Book from the new starter including sub harassment, strafing penalties, and small ship evasion.  When a challenger has been found, both members private message their respective club president that they are engaging in a Club Match.  These players then proceed to play their game and then the winner of the match will post the result in the Nation Club League Championship Standings thread.

When starting a NCLC Match please try to adhere to the following format for the Thread title:

(game) Club *** vs Club ^^^ ___ pts

example:
(WAS) Club Julius vs Club Caesar 300pts

Rules:

NCLC Matches will be 50-500 point games played on any map that is approved by both players involved.  Builds are to be private messages to a clubhouse moderator for verification.  Victory is acheived by the following formula:

V=1.5(F)
O=V/#

V is the victory points necessary to win.
F is how many points each player has to build their fleet.
O is the value of the objectives.
# is the number of objectives your playing with..
In case of a tie then the player with the most points remaining on the map is the winner.  Games can either be played with the advanced War at Sea rules or with Order of Build rules found at http://aaminis.myfastforum.org/about9123.html .

If a player of a match appears to forgot or refuses to continue an online match first private message them to see if they have any external problems or activities that is taking up time.  If that player should refuse to reply to your private message then please private message a moderator (Brigman, SWO_Daddy, sublime828) with your problem (please allow time for people to gather their thoughts. 2-3 days after your message arrives).  The moderator will attempt to communicate with the player who is having the problems.  If a match goes unattended for more than 2 weeks than the moderator will private message both involved.  The result may be a forfeit by one of the players depending on the circumstances (any external problems or events that are taking up time will not cause the player to lose his match we will be very understanding).

Scoring:

For every game played a member will either give their team a win or a loss.  A win will be worth 3 points and a loss 1.  At the end of the season the Points/Game ratio for every club that has over 10 games and at least 1 game per month will be assessed and the Club with the highest ratio is declared the winner.

Seasons:

The National Club League Championship will last for for 100 days.  After the season is complete there will be a 2-3 month intermission where members may feel free to play games against each other without it counting towards standings and where the winning club will be able to display their prize.  This intermission period is not set in stone and will be in flux from season to season.  The seasons for National Club Championship and the Theater Club Championship will alternate.

RAEVSKI, Vergilius,

Two clubs that I know haven't had a lot of representation lately are Club KM and Club RN.  Would be a shame to not have them represented.  Just a suggestion.  Thanks for joining the party!

new person wanting information

i was wondering if there was more information on the clubs. me and my friend are curious and want to join. first question is just double checking on this being on axis and allies naval miniatures war at sea. i also would like to know if there is a minimum amount of people that are needed to form a club i only have two people ( me and my friend). is that enough? another question is just how are the battles going to work? please let me know. thanks.

deltaraptor50, welcome to the Forum!

Most of your questions will likely be answered at this link: http://aaminis.myfastforum.org/about28016.html

There are lots of options as far as clubs to joins.  Each club has its own thread in the clubhouse.  Simply post in the one you like and ask to join.  At that point, you'll get added to their roster.

Battles for this particulat tournament are played online.  The specifics are at the link above.  Details on online games in general can be found here: http://aaminis.myfastforum.org/about1001.html

Forming a new club isn't impossible, but at this point, most of the major nationalities and WWII theaters are already covered.  A great idea might come along and get added, but options for a new club are pretty limited.

I hope that helps.  Again, welcome to the forum!

Cheers,
SWO

We could use you for the Vichy cause, Vergilius.  No wimps allowed, those scared of getting outclassed from the get-go need not apply.  We are the undead pirates with no allies!

Or that's what ND tells us, anyway.  Come play.

A general update on National League Progress...

I've added all the Team Neptune cards released to date to the first post of this thread.  These units are now available for National League games!

20 days in to the tournament, I'm tracking games completed or in progress by 8 of the 9 clubs.  Great turnout so far!

As a reminder to everyone, there are two minimums that must be met/maintained for a club to qualify as the Champion.  Each club must play a minimum of one game every 30 days, and complete a minimum of 10 games by the end of the 100 day event.  Keep up the steady strain on play folks, and this will be an exciting run right up to the finish!
SWO_Daddy

More Team Nepture cards added to the "available to play" list at the beginning of this thread.

Added new Team Neptune cards available for National League play to the first post in this thread.  Game on!

BREAK

3 Weeks of National League play remain.  The last day games may be started is Saturday, 8 June.  I'd ask that any late starts conclude no later than 16 June.

I believe that I am still a member of the USN and Club Med, if that is possible?

If hkytown1 joins a WaS club, may we compete?

Can the AVG be considered a WaS club?

We have 9 Members.

We all play all of the games, I just prefer WaS and AAAF.

Thanks in advance,

FF

The "nationals" is nation only clubs and online, not physical face to face games.  Ex I'm club km and play against all the other nation clubs like USN,ijn,UK etc online.  This current season is almost over but you partake by both players being a member of a national (ex USN,km etc).

Face to face tournaments are limited to the world rankings, but if something was done like the nationals for face to face play that would be interesting.
FatalFlaw

Oh. OK. Got it.

I thought as much, and it is then safe to say that even though the AVG is a single nation club, it Ain't WaS based, so I would go with my USN affiliation.

Cool.

Thanks,

FF

Today is the final day to start games for the 2013 National League Championship.  I'd ask that all games be complete by 16 June.

Keep battling!  It remains extremely tight at the top!
