100 Point Italian / German Builds with Ju88A or U47I've been trying to make the new Ju88A and U47 work in the 100 point format. An Italian-German build seems to offer the most options.

The Gorizia supplys that all important initiative bonus for subs and aircraft, the U47s deploy forward to score some early hits on an enemy BB, enemy carriers will be squeezed between the U47s and U510s, and the Kondor makes things easier for the subs by spotting and crippling a destroyer early on with it's anti-ship missile.
Alternatively, you could downgrade both U47s to U510s and add a second Kondor, or downgrade one and upgrade the Aquilla to the Graf Zeppelin.
And for the Ju88A:

The Ju88A uses its Divide the Defense SA to attack with the two Sparvieros and a Bf109 escort (Ideally, you wait until after the primary target has been damaged by a sub, so that Finish him off comes into play). The subs and Kondor provide a secondary anti-BB punch, as well as ASW; and the Aquilla and Zara stick together if you're facing a concentrated air attack. I really wanted to include the Gorizia in this for the initiative bonus, but I couldn't make it fit.

Interesting fleets. The Ju-88 feels to me, though, like it really wants to be paired with Ju-87's of some variety.

The problem with the Stukas is that they are easy to abort, and their bombs seem inadequate against battleship armor. However, a Stuka would benefit from Expert Bomber and allow the Ju88A to make use of its Combined Attack SA. Also, the cost savings would allow the Zara to be upgraded to a Gorizia (For the initiative bonus); so it might be worth it.
How about this:

Since the carrier is now over capacity, you could even swap a Bf109 for a T27 destroyer for it's smoke screen (To make use of Gorizia's Bad Weather Fighter SA).

These are good builds, but it seems like a Ju88 is very hard to use in a 100 point fleet. You're potentially spending 20-30 points to BEST CASE manage to fire 6-8 torpedoes every other turn. Seems like a top tier enemy BB with decent AA and an escort and some fighter cover will probably take all the objectives long before you could sink it, even with U-510 assistance...

If only initiative bonuses worked on the set-up roll I'd like the Infiltrator SA that much more. Like the others, I like the U47 builds more than the JU88 ones. In playing few solo games my JU88's haven't done much, I imagine the key to their use is having plenty of them.
