Can crippled pre-dreadnoughts move?
lotharlutjens

In WaS there is already precedent with ships thet have speed 1. St. Lo, Sub-Chaser, Jerimiah O'Brien etc. and yes, I believe that they can still move 1, but are affected by the negative combat modifiers for being crippled. In WaS it does state, however, that a crippled ship with SLOW SA has 0 spd if it fails it's "slow" role. I do not have a rulebook in front of me so if anyone knows this rule better than I, kindly correct me so that we get it right. I just woke up and am quite bleary eyed at the moment. ( It is very early in the morning here.

Yes, that's how it goes in WAS lothar, in a simpler kind of game having categories reduce to a minimum of 1 keeps it fun.  In a game where you keep track of every hull point and gun and other stuff it's ok to have main guns knocked out or engines gone or whatever, because there is usually a random way to assign damage, but when, as in WAS, it is a simpler mechanic I think it would just be lame to have a ship sitting around that couldn't preform one of its basic functions, like move.
