Nothing is stopping you! Go grab some paints and whip something up! Just a tip I learned from the master, Panzer Painter, go pick up the inexpensive craft paints from Wal-Mart or any craft store like Michaels, AC Moore or Hobby Lobby. They are usually .75 - .99 cents for a bottle 2-3 times the size of those little Vallejo droppers and come in a huge variety of colors. Pick up a bottle or two when ever you stop by the local Wal-Mart and pretty soon you will have a nice collection of paint. I bought a few bottles of Tamiya for $3-4 bucks a pop when I first started and realized that was going to break the bank in a hurry. I switched to the Plaid/Apple Barrel/Folk Art/Craft Smart brand (its all the same brand, just different names at different stores) and now I have all the colors of the rainbow!

Exactly!  in the photo below the majority are the inexpensive craft/hobby acrylics.  I have aquired a few model acrylics for special colors.  I have painted entire ACW armies using the craft paints I purchased at walmart.  If properly stored they last for years.  If diluted properly you can even run them trough an air brush.

BTW, great job on the plane!
