Link above takes you to the WotC forum survey.  Let them know what you think!  This may be the best way to promote this site at the same time as making the AH boards better!  Please take this survey and make sure you type this site in as one of the sites you visit about WAS gaming!  Thanks!

Hopefully they will listen....I let them know my feelings on the lack of support for the Avlon hill product line.  I also pointed out that if they questioned the statement they should check out their own homepage.  The last update is dated 1/27/09   Rolling Eyes

Oh well, we will see.  Lately I have seen a volunteer that monitors the boards get a bit more involved on behalf of the community.  Maybe this survey is in response to that.

Well, I answered the survey.  Not that I think they'll listen.

True, but Wizard$ of the Ca$h seems to about as responsive aside from product-replacement... (which, I must note, Seth at WotC is head-and-shoulders above his former WK counterparts!)

Also took the survey. Note that my son visits the Star Wars site and forums quite regularly. I answered the survey from my perspective on what I visit - the AH games for Axis & Allies miniatures. Why is there so much great support on the Star Wars miniatures side and almost nil on the Axis & Allies miniatures? I'm tired of my son making fun of my games.

Tell him you are not interested in games that portray such ancient technology. (A long time ago ...)   Razz

I am hopeful that this survey is a step in the right direction.

Recently there has been a new volunteer monitoring the boards (like a MOD here?).  A storm was brewing in the board game section about AA50 already being out of print.  A couple of petition threads were started to call for a reprint and then removed as a violation of the CoC agreement.

This MOD who does not even play AH games listened and took the argument back to WoTC in a very constructive way.  Just today it was announced they will be reprinting AA50.  Addittionally he has brought up the issue with the home page not being updated for new and existing products and WoTC claims they will address it, they already put up info on AA42.

I would like to think that it is not just a coincidence that this survey suddenly appeared now.  Maybe this survey will actually be used in a positive way.  It is obvious that A&A fans both minis and board games speak with our wallets or they would not produce the product.

Now if they could just hire some employees other than RB who actually are interested in AH and not just the fantasy stuff I think we would see more support.  Unfortunately right now the AH forums and web page is a JOB for someone instead of a passion.

Unfortunately all the AH boards seem dead right now due to lack of a recent or upcoming product release.  I fear that not enough will respond on the AH side and the fantasy guys will continue to get all the attention.

Maybe this thread needs to be made into a global announcement so as many as possible take the survey and get our opinion heard by WoTC?

Just a thought.  Wink

I took the survey, even though I rarely visit the Wizards Community site anymore.  I never did visit any of their others, so I doubt if I fit the demographic of people they want to hear from. Even so, I told 'em...

I used to play D&D, but now I belong to a group of players and collectors of the War at Sea game. I love playing the game and collecting the mini's, but the interminable delays between releases make me anxious about corporate interest. I hope it thrives!

I also tapped "other", and gave 'em this site as my favorite forum.   Cool

I took the survey.  I pretty much said no to visiting every site expect 1-6 times a week to foruMINI and about once a week to the official A&A page.
