According to Wikipedia Australia survived the most kamikazi attacks, including the first, than any ship of the war. I think there should be an SA for that, but I don't know what. Any ideas?

I remember I hadn't found torpedoes in the Australia. So in my card (From the Neural Dream's Royal Australian Navy thread) I had cost only 12 and no torps. Check if there were indeed any. I may be wrong.

According to M.J. Whitley's Cruisers of World War Two, Australia was built with torpedo tubes and there's no mention of them being removed. It also says that Australia was refitted with a 4 inch belt to protect the machinery spaces in 1938, so you might want to bump the armor up to 4.

Neural, I just coppied the Canberra's card... I don't have Conway's. I am always game to up a ships stats, so I can fight harder! I would still like an SA to honor the unique record of the Australia though... _________________

Well, it's hard to come up with a kamikaze survivor SA when we don't have the kamikaze rules until Set II comes out. In the meantime, you could just give her the Survivor or Determination SA.

The Australia was the flagship of the RAN, so give her a flag rating of 2.
She might rate Survivor as well.

You shouldn't have flag 2 on a ship that cheap. Keep it to flag 1, like the Jintsu. _________________ I have to make a new sig because my old one is too wide for this new look... |

Australia may have been the designated flagship of the Australian navy, but did she actually serve as a flagship in any major combat engagement? If not, then I don't think she should get a flag rating.

I agree. We don't know what mechanism kamikazes use to attack ships so its hard to develop and SA to counter that. It kamikazes can be attacked with AA perhaps just adding a die or two to AA attacks on them. If they attack like bombs or guns, perhaps giving them -1 to hit. I think the important thing to do now is think of a catchy anti-Kamikaze SA name and then figure out what it does later. Hmm Divine Windbreaker... maybe not. _________________

May be simple a Luck-SA? One per games, if the player decides this unit or a unit attacking this unit makes a reroll.

HMAS Austrailia was the flagship for the surface action at Savo Island. She was paired with Canberra and Chicago, but peeled off before the stuff happened. I remember reading that in Bob Ballard's book on Guadalcanal. The admiral had to confer with his US counterpart on the transports. _________________ "Si vis pacem parabellum" - If you want peace, prepare for war
