I was surfing through the Forums when suddenly I noticed DR is a whole catagory of it's own now. Who'd have thunk it ? _________________ Gaming for 36 Years.

6 in. isn't tertiaries? Seems like the 12 and 3 lbrs qualify for some sort of DA SA even without them. Either way, though, a cool ship.
Historically, I was thinking pre-dreads had more than 4 guns of the secondary armament, is it so few here because they were large (9.4 as opposed to 8 inchers)? It almost doesn't seem worth the trouble of having a large and not numerous secondary battery that probably doesn't fire too much faster than the main guns, these kind of designs make me wonder how a uniform main battery wasn't invented earlier. _________________

So far we still aren't using tetiary batteries. This ship is loaded to the gills with guns (mostly small guns), I toyed with the Idea of giving her Defensive Armament twice ( DEF ARM 3 and DEF ARM 4 ) but instead stayed within the paramaters already established. Yes 6" guns are definitely deserving more than DEF ARM, but with so many different batteries on board, where do you draw the line ? And yes, you can really see where HMS Dreadnought instantly obsoleted these old Battleships. _________________ Gaming for 36 Years.

The 6inch ones can be an S.A such as TERTIARY GUNS x/x/x/x: This unit can make an additional x/x/x/x attack during the surface attack step ... _________________

LMS playtest series King Edward VII
HMS King Edward VII 7.1 million dollars
Great Britain Battleship/Pre-Dreadnought Feb. 1905
Spd = 1 Flag = 1
Field of Fire Bow Broadside Stern
Large Btty */8/7/5 10/9/8/6 */8/7/5
Large Btty */7/6/4 8/7/6/4 */7/6/4
Medium Btty */3/2/1 6/5/4/2 */3/2/1
AA = 3
TT = 1
Armor = 7 Vital Armor = 12 Hull = 4
DEFENSIVE ARMAMENT 3
ALL AHEAD FULL
Remember Large Batteries will automatically get range 4, so no need foe ER SA
and when two batteries of the same size fire on the same target, the batteries recieve a -1 to their tor hit number.... Ie. hit on 5 or 6, so no need for CONFUSED SPOTTING SA.
NOTE TO CARDMAKER.........This ship has already had its speed corrected (Ignore corrections asked for in my log, they have already been implemented on this vessel)
NOTE TO EVERYONE ELSE.......This is an example of the new way gunfire will be handles in DR. Speak now or forever hold your peace if you disagree with this. _________________ Gaming for 36 Years.

Btw, I'll be doing 5-6 units a day. So, bump up the ones that are next and make sure they follow the LMS system. _________________

I'm trying a simpler rewording.
ALL AHEAD FULL: If this unit moves straight agead only, this unit gains + 1 speed. This gained speed cannot be used for turning.
If you can reword it better, by all means, I ain't proud. _________________ Gaming for 36 Years.

You left Defensive Armament 3 off. I think we will still need that SA to cover "many" smaller guns. _________________ Gaming for 36 Years.

Also, confused spotting and ER 4 don't have to be mentioned, since they will be in the rules (all L guns get ER 4 and same rate guns get confused spotting if against same target).
So, that leaves space for about 2 S.A.s that can be quite unique for each ship. _________________

Absolutely, thats why I didn't include them, I just didn't have the foresight on Defensive Armament.
Cold night here in Texas, just rediscovered a drink I haven't drunk in years, Hot Cocoa with marshmellows. Aaaaaahhhhh ! _________________ Gaming for 36 Years.
