Fan requested Re-prints (Re-paints). I guess if they are comming we should put in our requestes for Set III don't you think? Assuming these are not in Set II then here are mine:

Zero - common
Casablanca class escort carrier (Gambier Bay?) - uncommon
Kongo Class (Kirishima) - rare
Myoko Class (Haguro) - rare

and probably... Baltimore Class (Canberra?). Most ships of the Baltimore Class really didn't do much in WW II but since 14 or so were commissioned I suppose it makes sense to have a reprint. Although the ships looked similar I don't think they will make a Cleveland Class Light Cruiser out of the Baltimore... that would be stretching things too much I think.

Maybe... Independence Class (San Jacinto?). Mainly again since so many were commissioned I could see having another model to use.

Maybe... County Class (HMS Suffolk?). I guess. Some kind of shadowing of BBs maybe?

I'd like to see repaints of all the aircraft.  Washington repainted in a Ms 32(?) and renamed North Carolina.

I guess I didn't realize people wanted reprints of ships with only 2 in the whole class.  I was assuming most folks would want reprints only if 4+ in the class.

Sounds like we are getting an Enterprise repaint as Yorktown...

I would be surprised and dissappointed if the contents of Set III were not already locked down. Based on the work timeline Richard has blogged for Set II it seems to me Set III would already be in the development phase if it is to be released within 6 to 9 months of Set II.

If Set III is on the same 'wait and see how Set II does' timeline then there is still probably time to influence the contents of Set III. I hope not!  Sad

Maybe not on 3, but we might still have a chance at Set 4-up...

My vote, obviously, would be a Boise reprint as Nashville (MacArthur's command ship)--maybe a bonus to Vital Cargo ratings within adjacent sectors and some kind of "Supreme Commander"-level SA?

I'd be surprised if it was a wait and see thing, given how well the initial set has done.

The way it's gone, I take nothing for granted.

It sure would be nice to get some reassuring words from RB about Set III, or some hints as to what timeframe they are thinking

I forgot some:

USA Liberty ship reprint.  Much like the Higgins in the land game you need 6 of these if you are really trying to play a real game with them.  So unless they make a reprint it is just too costly to try and buy/trade for them.

Japanese transport.  Same reasons as above.

Would you believe I've been trying to argue for a separate co=branded product that's just a box of merchies? (Not "collectible" randomized, a fixed-content box.)

I believe it.

I mean if you really want to play subs/convoys/raiders/merchant ships...

we are extremely limited at the moment.

I would like to see reprints of these ......

USS Johnson (Fletcher)
USS Phoenix (Brooklyn)
USS Cabot (Independence)
USS North Carolina (Duh)
USS Missouri (Iowa)
IJN Asashio or Yugumo (New classes, but almost exactly the same as Kagero Class)
IJN Haruna (Kongo)

That would pretty much be my list as well.

I like most of that as well.  Johnson is an excellent choice.  That should be made.  Valiant stand?

I don't care for a North Carolina myself and I'm not all that interested in more Iowa class BB but I'm sure some other people are.

I don't like the mold for the Kagero class so I hope they make a new mold for the Japanese destroyer.  The French and Japanese ones just look so... cheap.

Sorry to nitpick, but if you're thinking of the Battle off Samar I think it's Johnston Smile (which I also would like to see... SMOKE anyone?!)

Personally I like repaints that add something. I.e. repaint can be used in a fundamentally different way, on behalf of a different nation, or the ship in question distinguished itself in such a way that a new SA can be justified, etc.

some ideas:

USS Johnston - smoke/determination
PBY variant with ASW oriented SAs
Kinai Maru seaplane tender (thanks Diamondback!) - scout cruiser SA for cheap
SS Stephen Hopkins - liberty ship with some gunnery (poor man's Nordmark?)
Martlet - give British a decent fighter Smile

I am onboard with the "no need for an Iowa repaint."(I have 2 Iowas and plan on repainting one after I see what the Missouri repaint looks like)

I think the Yorktown is going to be an Enterprise repaint. but I still want an Hornet, what an fantastic camoflage paint she carried. but please no light bomber SA's it was done once and could never work as an tactical armament for an carrier at that time...
(you could launch B25s off of the deck of the Nimitz class CVN's and land em too. Smile )

I would buy an merchant "booster pack" maybe include with it an couple of K class blimps.  two or three each of the Marus, Nordmark, and Libertys
maybe with expanded rules included especially for the convoy/wolf pack scenario... limit the class's of ship avaliable ect... or make an atlantic merchiant pack and an pacific merchants pack and include diffrent specials...20 bucks each and everybody would buy one and some of us would buy two or more... (guilty as charged)

I know they will probebly repaint the Scharnhorst as Gneisenau. and i am ok with that dispite the diffrences between those ships.

an repaint of the Rodney as Nelson in her late war paint might be nice and very cool looking...
