The following is the Romanian Navy in 1938-44 and the Romanian airforce in 1938-40. Can you add information about all other years and for the army too?
When we collect all information we can make it a sticky and a wikipedia article.
Feel free to start similar threads for all other nations.

I've made you a mod here, so that you can correct the first post Smile. Try to follow the same format if you can, so that we have a consistent research project going on that others can join in Smile.

The goal is to list the exact (as much as possible) strength of all minor powers each year.

yeah i'll post those up whhen i get to the infantry weopons.
I disagree with the Solothurn 20mm. evidence is scarse. I know that the Russian one is pressed into service whenever they where captured.

50mm mortar ? i am unaware of that. Romanians could make there own 60mm ones.
Mg42 i believe hit the Front line formations in 43 in the Crimea.
Unsure on Mg 34 as the Chech guns where in use.

I only know what I read in the papers.

I'm looking for where I picked up on the Solothurn.  Most places only give it to Hungary, and I may have screwed up, but I thought I read that somewhere.  Maybe Avalanche Press.

Ok read those. The 50 mortar i believe was not in front line servive during WW2. as the Romanians where able to produce enough 60mm mortars for there own needs. Ammunitions complications were not needed.
MG 34 OK but only in the formations that werte supplied by germans Late 42 to replace loses at Stalingrad.

hey RAEVSKI

maybe you know about this site, but here is the link:

http://www.hobby.ro/index.htm

here you will find some pics of Romanian units in WW2 as well as models. try to click on "Romania 41-45" and the on the left you can choose from the menu (Blindate - Armored Units, Artilerie - Artillery, and so on).

if you don't know about this site I bet you will find some interesting photos Smile

Raevski, can you add everything in the first post please? Also, when did Romania start having German crew? I guess not from 1938, right?

There are some good picks on here, just quickly i found some info missing. The Romanians had Hs129b but none are mentioned.
