im just curious what would this map be used for besides playing on a real life map?  next question is, is it proportionate to the sector scale of 5000 yds.

im just giving you crap

a dashed line in light grey over the hex sides that are to be played as full land sectors...

for scenario, label the sector I10 as harbor/port to be reached by convoy "Valletta" would do, or a little star, etc...

as for scale, it looks like each sector is about 5000m across, very nice !

A 15x15 square map with some real barriers or possible invasion/convoy objectives in the middle, I like it! It is large enough that people just don't stumble into surface gunfire range on turn 2. And you can't just simply rush up the middle to gain a firing advantage, it's blocked! Very interesting. Quite conducive to air warfare.

Nice one. Smile

Cheers,

Admiral Woodside

You'd like a Malta with hexes.
Would hexes work on this map for online?

Thinking of doing another one with more Longitude, more Malta run.

sorry, i did not mean hex sides, just sector sides.  the common rule of "if you can see the dot its water" works when there are dots in the middle. I would just as soon have a cool map like this with some helpful suggestions on how to play the in between sectors that may or may not be water/land.

I can totally see an invasion of malta scenario from this, using the Ju-52 ! might add as many as 3 ANB's to the map.

given speed of aux's, map might be big enough  as is for a convoy/malta run scenario, if it needs more room, have convoy units enter on turn 2 or 3 . . .

That's what I said÷ LOL

I can't find a size (allowable) on the forum that fits.  Same thing with my Marianas Turkey Shoot Map.

It's either a huge island small sectors or lots of sectors, tiny Islands.

That's at least what I can fit on the forum.

Any suggestions? I could use a dpi_pi. Tutorial for sure
