Post subject: Looking for ideas on Allied 39-41 years

I'm looking for something to put together for 200 & 300 point games where I'm playing the Allies. My playing partner - we'll call him "the criminal" uses those pesky Japanese units. I find it a little difficult coming up with something different and effective in the years 1939-1941. Not a lot to chose from for the allies. We also like to play non vehicle games - except transport - Though I would also be interested in a build that comes up with reserves that can be vehicles or infantry - say on turn 5 of 7 -or whatever turn limit we set. It's hard with solo infantry to get anywhere with just infantry in just 7 turns - so usually we play 10 turns.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
In my opinion it's tough for the allies just as it was historically.
But I'm pretty much a newb except for the collection part.
OH - and we play on the jungle map. No line of sight without spotter. At least not the way I see it.
