When I play war at sea, I often feel that the antiair phase is not how it should be, so I came up with this houserule which splits the antiair phase into the dogfight, interceptor, and antiair phases. When you assign fighters to attack bombers, your opponent may choose to escort those bombers. if the bomber you are attcaking is escorted, then you attack the escorting fighter during the dogfight phase. In the dogfight phase, roll attacks as normal. If the attacker manages to abort or destroy the escorter without being aborted or destroyed, then the attacker may make an antiair attack against the bomber in the intercept phase. Ship and installation antiair attacks occour in the antiair phase. In addition, escort and interceptor do different things. A fighter with escort rolls one extra antiair die when escorting during the antiair phase. Fighters with interceptor roll one extra antiair die during the interceptor phase.

Please put in input and suggest improvments. As I do not have anyone to playtest this rule with besides myself, please tell me how games go using this rule.
