The French have very little to bring after 1941.  I would propose that in 1942 and later they can spend 1/3 (maybe up to 1/2) of their points on US or Commonwealth equipment.  This would be historical as the Free French got much of their stuff from the US and UK.  I would say no Soldier-Infantry, but all other units are available.  I would also restrict it so that they could choose 1 countries units to bring.  Again, trying to stay historical as French units would normally have "compatible" equipment (i.e. they would not have US and UK tanks in the same unit).

This also opens up the question of the Poles, Yugoslavs, Finns, Hungarians, Romanians, and Greeks.  I think Italy and Japan can stand on their own, and I am not sure anyone would chose to bring the Chinese.  Croatia only has one unit, so no real issue there.

I think we should allow limited use as follows:
- Hungarian and Romanian units should be usable by Germany.
- Greeks should be usable by the Commonwealth
- Poles should be usable by Soviets
- Yugoslavs I am not sure how to deal with

- Finns would not really work with Germany, I think they stay off the table.

I don't know if the Soviets really need any help, but I'm for letting Polish forces use Soviet equipment.

Historically, the German and Finnish armies had little interaction.

In the Winter War, Finland got aid from the UK, France, and Sweden.  They did not have any dealings with German.

In the Continuation War, Germany supplied material and some troops.  Generally the Finnish and Germany troops fought as separate units and did not really share any command structure or objectives.

In the Lapland War, Finland actively fought the German troops remaining in the country after their peace with the USSR.

They were "technically" classified as an Axis power, but they were mainly just in a fight for survival against the Soviets.  When the Allies were unable/unwilling to help them they turned to Germany as the only help they could get.  Politically, ideologically, and militarily they were not really part of the Axis powers.

if you see the updates are two ways:
Mixing Nationalities: (Optional rule) Units from differing nationalities can appear in mixed armies only in the following combinations:
-France, Belgium, United Kingdom
-Free Poland (units deployed after 1939), Free France (units deployed after 1940), United States, Canada, Australia, South Africa, United Kingdom

Think is the perfect help you need against germans....

I'll fight with SrgPoofy as a Club G.I. Allied Army Combatant, after we finish our match of course.....of course all this has to ruled on I'm sure by much higher up's than myself.

Bartok has a good point, are we allowed to have mixed builds in Club play, say a percentage of total points allowed as long as you are not in a match vs another "Allied" club, only vs Axis countries. Just curious.

Having played the French twice, good games both, I am willing to allow the French access to US Infantry Support Weapons, IE: MG's,MTR's, Artillery as well as his list of Lend/Lease equipment. A percentage of the points 10/15% maybe. SrgPoofy can decide if he wants it, I am not against it anyway.

it depends the year you play and the enemy you select, historic play, if you limit the 5/5 french alpine, like you see in the match, the Grenadier is not usefull if goes without combined fire, the tanks are really good in EARLY war, specially againts the defense 3 of the germans, the Panhard make the strike&fade an art. If you play with bonus nationality you get a liitle help of 5 points, just 2 infantery more or obstacles.
If you play with updates you can mix France, Belgium, United Kingdom. Yes you have the Belgium Officer with Pinpointer, with UK you have spotter and uk mortar for a 12 Range, now you have Covering fire (Bren) or HtH 10 with Gurkha.........artillery of all types: entrenched, 2 ", 6", Bofors antiair againts Bf 109 and defiant paratrooper, with a new style of gameplay.
But its different play a friendly game (not historic, no year limit) against americans:
4 planes, 24 soldiers and 30 different vehicles to select.
The french:
1 plane, 8 soldiers and 9 different vehicles..........somewhat disproportionate 3:1.

The Operative Word there is Friendly. Infantry only in that case. No paras, partisans, planes or vehicles. Anyway, the French should have access to other historically correct equipment besides just vehicles. UK/US only, MG/Lt. MTR's as well, I think SrgPoofy could do quite well with proper equipment..........Very Happy........
