Post subject: Continued War 1946 (V1 scale)

UPDATED JUNE 17, 2009.
A new war begins in 1946, as tensions between the Western Allies and the Soviet Union continues to build, leading Stalin to launch an invasion into western Germany. The US and UK try as quickly as possible to reorganize broken German military resources to help hold the line. World War III begins with a massive siege hopeful at making Europe fall swiftly.

German Allied Reinforcements (2):

Victory Conditions:
Allied player - must have more unit points at the end of turn 16 by no less than 20 points; or be in control of any 3 objective markers at the end of turn 16; or eliminate every Russian unit before the end of turn 10; or have Soviet player surrender.
Soviet player - must capture and hold all 3 Allied objective markers until the end of turn 16; or must have more unit points at the end of turn 16 while holding 2 Allied objective markers; or eliminate every US and British unit before the end of turn 9; or have Allied player surrender.
Set up:
Allied player places 3 objective markers anywhere within 4 hexes of the western edge of the map. Allied player deploys everything from his starting force first, within 4 hexes of the western edge of the map. Soviet player deploys 1 objective marker on the eastern edge of the map, and all of his starting forces next, within 2 hexes of the eastern edge of the map. Soviet player must go first for the first turn.
Reinforcements:
Allied Reinforcements (1) arrive during the Allied movement phase of turn 6. They may be placed anywhere within 4 hexes of the western edge of the map, or along the southern edge of the map. If 2 Allied objectives are taken and held before turn 6, Allied Reinforcements (1) will be deployed on turn 8 instead, and also must be placed within 2 hexes of the western edge of the map.
Soviet Reinforcements arrive during the Soviet movement phase of turn 7, and must be placed within 2 hexes of the eastern edge of the map. If Soviet objective marker is held by Allied player at the end of turn 6, Soviet reinforcements are not deployed until a full turn after the objective is reclaimed and held (EI: the marker is reclaimed during turn 9, so reinforcements will arrive during turn 11) or they can be placed anywhere within 2 hexes of the eastern edge of the map on turn 14 should the objective remain under Allied control.
German Allied Reinforcements (2) arrive during the Allied movement phase of turn 10. They may be placed anywhere within 4 hexes of the western edge of the map. Wehrwolf Partisans may be placed anywhere not occupied by enemy units or containing an objective. There are no delays to these reinforcements.
Map:
There is no pre-determined map set up (due to the versatility of the scenario), but I recommend a configuration from the 39-45 starter maps.

Very cool!
Did I miss the map set-up?
My suggestion is - don't miss the opportunity to use late-war/rarely seen units. I'd like to see:
Me262
Katyusha rocket launchers
Recoiless rifle
M12 GMC
M24 Chaffee
And I'd drop units like:
Firefly

I like those suggestions! They have been implemented, and the map issue is now addressed. _________________
