This is a project I have been working on for a while...and with a special thanks to Seisen (for the turrets) I have finally completed my home fleet.  As a resident of California, I wanted to be well represented on the high seas.  So I give you:

BB- USS California
CA- USS San Francisco
CL- USS Oakland
CVL 26 - USS Monterey

USS California (BB-44), a Tennessee-class battleship, was the fifth ship of the United States Navy named in honor of the 31st state.[2] Beginning as the flagship of the Pacific Fleet, she served in the Pacific her entire career. She was sunk in the attack on Pearl Harbor at her moorings in Battleship Row, but was salvaged and reconstructed. She served again for the remainder of World War II before being decommissioned as obsolete in 1947.

USS San Francisco (CA-38), a New Orleans-class heavy cruiser, was the second ship of the United States Navy named after the city of San Francisco, California. She saw extensive action during World War II.

San Francisco was laid down on 9 September 1931 at the Mare Island Navy Yard, Vallejo, California; launched on 9 March 1933; sponsored by Miss Barbara M. Bailly; and commissioned on 10 February 1934, Captain Royal E. Ingersoll in command.

USS Monterey (CVL-26) was an Independence-class light aircraft carrier of the United States Navy, in service during World War II and used in training for several years thereafter.

Originally laid down as light cruiser Dayton (CL-78) on 29 December 1941 by New York Shipbuilding, Camden, New Jersey, the ship was reclassified CV-26 on 27 March 1942 and renamed Monterey four days later, launched on 28 February 1943

USS Oakland (CL-95), was a modified Atlanta-class light cruiser, the first of a group of four sometimes referred to as the "Oakland-class". She was laid down by Bethlehem Steel Co., San Francisco, California on 15 July 1941; launched on 23 October 1942 and commissioned on 17 July 1943, Captain William K. Phillips in command.

She was named for the city of Oakland, California. Like the Atlanta-class, the Oakland-class was designed as an anti-aircraft cruiser, with a main battery of dual-purpose guns. The Oakland-class omitted the wing 5 in (127 mm)/38 cal gun turrets of the Atlanta-class.

The California paint scheme far outshines the original.  Are you going to do Los Angeles as well?

I will slowly add more as time allows.  For now, I did these four, because I live within an hour of each of these ships namesakes.  Mare Island and Vallejo ship yards are close to me so it is also a bit of local pride.

The only other ship missing that is from a town nearby to me is the USS Fresno.  She was an Atlanta Class, but never saw action in WWII.  She wasnt launched until like 1946.  Not sure if she's on my to do list or not.

I've got another project almost wrapped up and then maybe I can get a couple more California ships done.

Glad you guys like em!  Thanks

Snip Really nice work mate!
I'm afraid that Arizona does not have much to offer in that regard.  Lost one as the war began eg; USS Arizona BB, USS Tucson CL-98 (Atlanta class), USS Phoenix CL-46 (Brooklyn Class), USS Yuma AT-94 (Navajo-class fleet tug), USS Casa Grande LSD-13 (Casa Grande-class dock landing ship), USS Bisbee PF-46 (Tacoma-class frigate manned by the United States Coast Guard)
