Note: This game can be rather large, I would be interested in trying this after the FFFL PM me if you are interested.  Although it might not be historically accurate, I think it will be fun.

Roll for 3 maps, a total point value per side (400-800), and weather conditions, and 2 of the major fleets (one axis one allied) designating player A to the first nation and player B to the second one.

Both player A and B make a fleet that uses a quarter of the total points per side using only units from their faction that are not, battleships, aircraft carriers, have the ability with the word "slow" in it.  Submarines are allowed as are aircraft.  This is the flanking force that has gotten behind your opponents flanking force.

players C and D,  make fleets using the remaining points per side.  player C is Allied with player A and player D is allied with player B.  They can only pick units from a major faction that is aligned with their ally, but randomly chosen out of those ones.  The units are not restricted for their fleet, except theat each fleet must have 1 capital ship. Now the maps are placed with the narrow ends together making a really long, skinny, map.  player D deploys all the way to 1 side and player C deploys all the way to the other side (determined by set up rolls). then player a deployed on the middle map, on the side closer to his enemy. player B does the same thing, on the other side of the middle map.

example: player a and b draw up USN and KM respectively total points comes up as 500. players A and B make 125 point fleets,  player D draws up  IJN (out of Italy and japan)  and player C draws up Free French (out of free french, commonwealth and Russia) They both make 375 point fleets.

Planes: non-patrol bomber have a range of 9 tiles, patrol bombers have a range of 12. All islands can count as land bases, (still do have to rearm). To re-base to a different island takes 2 turns.

Victory:  1 capital ship chosen by each team (and kept secret) is the command ship,  and gives .5 * points per side victory points + it's cost when it sinks.  In order to win you need VPs equal to points per side.

Can  be played with 2 players.
